Eddie Kadi to host the Mobos again

Eddie Kadi will return as host of the Mobo Awards this year, it has been announced.

Kadi, who co-hosted last year’s event, will share presenting duties with American rapper Eve as the awards mark their 30th anniversary.

The 2026 ceremony at Manchester’s Co-op Live on March 26 will feature performances from Olivia Dean, Flo and Tiwa Savage, with more acts to be announced.

Kadi, made history as the first black British comic to headline London’s O2 arena. He hosts BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Official UK Afrobeats Chart Show and has appeared on numerous television programmes including I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and Live A The Apollo.

‘To be back for the second year in a row co-hosting the Mobo Awards is an honour, especially for its 30th anniversary,’ he said. ‘For three decades, Mobo has celebrated Black music excellence from all different genres.’

Eve, who has lived in the UK for over a decade, said: ’I’m so excited to be co-hosting the Mobo Awards in this big 30th anniversary year. Manchester, I hope you’re ready because we have an amazing night planned for you.’

This year’s nominees include Olivia Dean, Little Simz, KWN and Jim Legxacy, who each received four nominations.
