Trevor Noah to host Grammy Awards for a final time

2026 ceremony will be his sixth

Trevor Noah will present next month's Grammy Awards for the sixth and final time, bringing to an end a hosting stint that has made him the face of music's biggest night since 2021.

Noah will become the first person to host the ceremony six years running since Andy Williams fronted the first seven live telecasts from 1971 to 1977.

The South African comic, who left his role as host of The Daily Show in 2022, has won praise for his ability to blend humour with genuine appreciation for music on the show

Executive producer Ben Winston said: 'I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time. He's been the most phenomenal host of the show. He's so smart, so funny, and he brings such warmth to the evening.'

Noah will also serve as executive producer for the 2026 show, which takes place on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS in the US and streamed on Paramount+.

The comedian himself has a stake in this year's awards, with a nomination for best audiobook, narration and storytelling recording for his children's book Into The Uncut Grass. It marks his fourth Grammy nomination, following three previous nods for best comedy album.

Five US stand-ups are up for the Grammy for best comedy album: Drop Dead Years by Bill Burr; PostMortem by Sarah Silverman; Single Lady by Ali Wong’ What Had Happened Was… by Jamie Foxx and Your Friend, Nate Bargatze.

This year’s nominations are led by Kendrick Lamar with nine nods and Lady Gaga with seven.
