Apply to perform at the Rik Mayall comedy festival

Comedians sought for second annual event

The Rik Mayall comedy festival is inviting comedians to apply for the 2026 event.

The volunteer-run festival is returning to Mayall’s hometown of Droitwich Spa for a second year, running from May 29 to June 6, running across several venues.

Ben Elton is patron of the event, which has the support of Mayall’s family.

‘We’re looking for performers who channel Rik’s bold, anarchic spirit’  said festival director Stuart Panrucker. ‘Whether you’re a rising star or a seasoned pro, if you’ve got something daring, different, and funny—we want to hear from you.’

The festival is open to artists and performers from all backgrounds and disciplines, including stand-ups, theatre companies and musicians  ‘whether your act is polished or experimental, mainstream or alternative, the key is to make people laugh and challenge convention– just like Rik did’.

Apply here.
