Play a full map based on Springfield

The Simpsons have come to Fortnite. 

From now until November 29, players have an entire stylised map based on Springfield to explore, from Moe’s Tavern to the nuclear power plant.

And character skins include Marge and Homer, Stupid Sex Flanders and Blinky Fishstick.

Nate Nanzer, senior vice president of global partnerships at Epic Games said" ‘The Simpsons takeover in Fortnite shows how the worlds of gameplay, storytelling, and on-screen intersect.’ 

Indeed, last Sunday’s episode of the animated show started with a Fortnite-themed couch gag to mark the tie-up, with the family gunning down the Peely avatar.

A number of Fortnite / Simpsons animated shorts will also air on Disney+ for the duration of the event.

‘Every week, you get a new short on Disney+ that ties to what’s happening in-game, so the story literally moves between your screen and your controller,’ Selman told Rolling Stone. ‘The shorts tell stories the way The Simpsons always has, and the game gives fans a new way to live inside that world through Fortnite’s interactivity.’
