Voting opens in 2025 Comedians' Choice Awards
Three accolades to be handed out
Voting has opened for this year’s Comedians’ Choice Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe.
There will again be three awards: Best Show, Best Newcomer and Best Person, who can be a performer or off-stage hero.
There is no panel of judges – only the performers themselves decide the winners, who have previously included Mat Ewins, Julia Masli, Joz Norris and Elf Lyons, pictured.
Voting is now open to all Fringe comedy performers here.
Best show and best newcomer will receive, if they want it, a London transfer to The Bill Murray, a week of free rehearsal space and a preview there of their next show, and £500 towards a PR package with publicist Flick Morris. The awards were founded by comedian and Bill Murray co-founder Barry Ferns in 2014.
Shortlisted shows will be announced on August 18, before voting closes at 11:59pm on August 20. Winners will be announced the following night.
