Pair self-finance Busboys

David Spade and Theo Von are to make a buddy comedy movie together.

The former Saturday Night Live star and the top-rated podcaster will star, write in and produce Busboys, which they are self-financing.

Spade – who is also known for sitcoms such as 8 Simple Rules and Just Shoot Me!  – joked: ‘We are looking forward to gracing everyone with this comedy that no one asked for.’

The movie is set in an Arizona border town and revolves around two friends who think becoming waiters will solve all of their problems. They are wrong.

Production will kick off on January 10 in Los Angeles, the US trade press reports.
