
UK tours for Six Chick Flicks and Urzila Carlson
Feminist parody and South African-Kiwi stand-up
Parody show Six Chick Flicks and New Zealand stand-up Urzila Carlson have both announced UK tours.
Six Chick Flicks – subtitled ‘Or a Legally Blonde Pretty Woman Dirty Danced on the Beaches While Writing a Notebook on the Titanic’ – will perform 59 shows, kicking off in April.
The off-Broadway hit – described as a feminist send-up of chick flicks – played last year’s Edinburgh Fringe where it picked up a five-star review from the Daily Mail.
It is co-written by Kerry Ipema and TJ Dawe, who has made a career co-creating stage parodies of franchises incuding Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Batman, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead and Sex And The City.

Meanwhile, South African-New Zealander comedian has announced a dozen dates of her new stand-up show Just Jokes in October and November.
They will follow tours across Australia – including a full run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival – and the US. Her credits include QI and her own Netflix stand-up special Overqualified Loser.
Tickets will go on general sale on February 2.
