Promo for fast food chain Wendy's

Sara Barron is to host a spoof true-crime-style podcast for fast food chain Wendy’s.

The comic – an American redhead just like the firm’s logo – will present seven weekly episodes of Burger Murders, starting with a double bill on September 25.

It has been created by comedy writer Joel Morris, whose credits include Cunk On Britain, the Paddington movies and the successful Ladybird Books for grown-ups.

Wendy’s says: ‘From soggy buns, barely melted cheese and frozen beef, the podcast delves into the most serious burger crimes, featuring real life accounts, although not mentioning any names, about what happens when fast food goes wrong.’
