Season 11 to air from January

Modern Family’s final series will air on Sky One next year, the broadcaster has announced.

The comedy’s 11th season kicked off on ABC in America in September, and is currently on Christmas hiatus.

Now Sky has announced that it will air the final exploits of the extended Dunphy-Pritchett clan from January 17.

Storylines in the new series include Hayley (Sarah Hyland) becoming the mother of twins.

The series also stars Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara,  Julie Bowen,  Ty Burrell,  Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ariel Winter.
