Fleabag named programme of the year

Fleabag was the big winner at last night’s Television Critics Association awards.

The show was crowned programme of the year in the American ceremony , as well as winning the comedy category. 

And creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge won the gong for  individual achievement in comedy.

Netflix comedy Russian Doll was named outstanding new programme.

In other genres,  Better Call Saul picked up the award for best drama series. The achievement in movie or miniseries award went to Sky Atlantic’s Chernobyl.
