She joins Irish comedy-drama Beards

Sharon Horgan has joined the cast of a new Irish comedy-drama about two gay teenagers.

Beards stars Fionn O’Shea and Lola Petticrew  as two youngsters who decide to stage a relationship in the 1990s to hide their true sexuality.

Director David Freyne has just finished shooting the movie in Ireland, Screen Daily reports.

Details of Horgan's role have not been announced. She will next be seen in Aisling Bea's This Way Up when it launches on Channel 4 on August 8.
