In the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards

Romesh Ranganathan and Cariad Lloyd are up for a prestigious award for their podcast.

Ranganathan’s Hip-Hop Saved My Life and Lloyd’s Griefcast have been shortlisted in this year’s Broadcasting Press Guild Awards alongside You, Me And The Big C, which was started by BBC presenter Rachael Bland before she died of cancer in September last year.

In other categories, radio programme of the year will be between Cerys Matthews’s 6 Music show, and Radio 4’s Soul Music episode about  Joni Mitchell and the documentary about rough sleepers Tara and George, presented by Audrey Gillan.

And shortlisted for radio broadcaster of the year are: Danny Baker, Lauren Laverne,  and Paddy O’Connell. 

Winners will be announced in London on March 15.
