Comedian referenced in new Lego game

Limmy has been given a nod in the new Lego Batman game, Legacy of the Dark Knight.

The comedian couldn't disguise his surprise and delight when one of his characters' catchphrases turned up in the new release.

The tribute comes when the Caped Crusade finds himself in a showdown with a character called Talia, who uses some of the weapons developed by Bruce Wayne's company against him.

As a result, he calls out: 'She’s turned the WayneTech against us!' 

It's a reference to a short sketch on BBC Scotland's  Limmy’s Show, which featured  a shirtless man walking through the streets while lamenting, 'She’s turned the weans against us!'

Limmy – real name  Brian Limmond – was alerted to the fact he'd been referenced in the game by one of his fans, and captured the moment he found out exactly what that was on his  YouTube channel.

As he watches the scene play out, he declares: 'No way!' And rewinds it to check what he heard.

'That’s fantastic! That is brilliant,' he says. ' Whoever put that in, thank you so much.

'I’m very glad that you like that sketch enough to put that in. That’s really made my day, thank you very much.'

Limmy regular streams his gamelplaying on Twitch, where he has almost 500,000 followers.
