Comic's factual series returns

Alan Davies’ Radio 4 series Life Without is to return for a second series.

Ten more 15-minute programmes have been commissioned, each considering what might happen if an element of the world suddenly disappeared.

Series one, which ran from February to April, examined subjects such as bees, the Moon or changing the clocks.

And the second run – which starts on  October 15 – will include bats, memory, the Gulf Stream and tears.

Rubina Pabani, executive producer  at programme-makers ITN Productions, said: ‘Alan brings the perfect mix of humour and rigour to the series.’
