Marble adventure Perchang World drops next month

James Acaster has lent his voice to a new video game.

The comic plays The Narrator in Perchang World, a physics puzzle game launching on Apple Arcade next month.

Although he has appeared in the Hollywood movies  Ghostbusters and  Cinderella, this will be his first video game role. 

Game producer Tom Cunliffe said: ‘We absolutely love how he’s brought our neurotic, chaotic, and loveable character to life. His comedy performance grows and deepens across the entire adventure.’

Players have to guide small, marble-like balls through hundreds of stages, manipulating gizmos to reach each goal.

The game’s blurb says: ‘As the adventure unfolds, Acaster's Narrator bonds with the player in a warmly funny comedy performance that runs the full length of the game.’

Perchang World launches on Apple Arcade on May 7.
