Jessie Cave and Alfie Brown get engaged
'After 12 years, it's getting serious,' she says
Jessie Cave and Alfie Brown have announced their engagement after 12 years.
The couple have four children together – Donnie, 11, Margot, nine, Abraham, five and Becker, three.
Cave, who played Lavender Brown in Harry Potter before becoming a comedian, posted an image of her diamond engagement ring on Instagram,
The 38-year-old captioned the post: '12 years and 4 kids later... it's getting serious.’
Cave became pregnant with their eldest son after a one-night stand with Brown, and both comics have explored the ups and downs of their relationship in their work. In 2018, both performed Edinburgh Fringe shows offering different stories about the breakup they were going through at the time.
They have a podcast together called Before We Break Up Again, described as ‘an exercise in trying to get to the root of something, however uncomfortable it might be’.
Earlier this year, Cave revealed she was getting a boob job with the money she's earned from posting hair-based content on OnlyFans.
And Brown has been rebuilding his career after a 2015 video of him using the N-word in a stand-up set resurfaced three years ago. He apologised, saying it was ‘wrong and hurtful [and] stupid’ – and subsequently made a show about being ‘ an unapologetic comedian who has apologised’.
