‘This decision wasn’t taken lightly'

Scots Squad star Darren Connell has pulled his UK tour.

He made his announcement just a day before he was supposed to kick off his  I'm Sorry Mother show in Aberdeen on Saturday night.

The comic and actor – who plays Bobby Muir on the hit BBC comedy – was also due to play The Bill Murray in London on March 1, Edinburgh’s Monkey Barrel on April 3 and Glasgow City Halls on  April 4.

Writing on social media, he said: ‘I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s reached out to check in on me — family, friends, and everyone who bought tickets. It genuinely means a lot.

‘Unfortunately, my tour, I’m Sorry Mother', has been cancelled due to circumstances outwith my control.

‘All ticket holders will receive a full refund automatically, so please don’t worry about that.

‘This decision wasn’t taken lightly. I’ve worked towards this for over 20 years, and stepping away has been tough. But I care too much about what I put on stage to ever give you anything less than 100%.

‘I’m taking a short rest, and then I’ll be back with some exciting new projects and shows very soon. Thank you for sticking with me. See you soon.
