Jayde Adams to appear on RuPaul’s Drag Race
Guest judge on UK vs The World series
Jayde Adams is to be a guest judge on the new series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World.
The comic was today announced as part of the panel for the eight-week series alongside Swedish Eurovision star, Loreen; singer-songwriter Jade Thirlwall; supermodel Kristen McMenamy and singer-songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man.
Adams said: ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World is not a gentle place to do comedy, which is exactly why it was so exciting to be a part of them all flourishing as they did. Those drag queens have to work at an unforgiving pace and are backing their choices immediately.
‘Being in that room, sharpening comedy with them in real time, was a comedy career highlight and I would happily do it again. Being amongst that much professional confidence is addictive.’
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World returns to BBC Three at 8pm on Tuesday January 27
Other previously announced guest judges include Amandaland star Lucy Punch; actor Will Poulter; pop star Anastacia; Bananarama singers Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward; Pussycat Dolls Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt; and Doctor Who writer and producer, Russell T Davies.
The drag queens taking part compete for the title of Queen of the Mothertucking World and a cash prize of £50,000.
