As his next special drops next month
Mo Gilligan is making a documentary for Netflix.
Few details of the new programme have been released, but it is said to explore ‘a new side’ of the comedian. It is due out later this year.
The streamer made the announcement via Deadline as it announced that his third stand-up special, In The Moment will premiere on February 3.
Filmed at The O2 in London, the show revolves around ‘fame, family and being British in America’.
Gilligan said: ‘Netflix has supported me from the very beginning of my career, so I’m incredibly proud to announce a new content partnership with them.
‘From taking my comedy global to pushing myself creatively in ways I never have before, this partnership marks my biggest moment yet. Grateful for the journey. Ready for what’s next. Let’s go, 2026.'
Gilligan previously released There’s Mo To Life and Momentum on the platform.
The comic – a judge on The Masked Singer, and The Masked Dancer – also had his own Channel 4 chat show among many TV appearances.
Last year, he attracted tabloid headlines when an ex publicly attacked him for not being there for a son they had together in January 2024. Gilligan had not previously spoken about the child, while he had announced last summer that his fiancée Taia Tulher had given birth to their daughter.
Gilligan is about to embark on his next live tour, The Mo You Know launching in St Albans on Wednesday January 28. Mo Gilliga tour dates.
