Channel 4 has confirmed the air dates for the Taskmaster Christmas specials.

The fourth Champion of Champions contest will air at 9pm on December 22, and see Sam Campbell, John Robins, Andy Zaltzman, Mathew Baynton and Maisie Adam competing for the title.

And the New Year's Treat – this time airing over two episodes for the first time ever – will start at 9pm on Friday January 2. The date of the second has not yet been confirmed.

Trying to impress Greg Davies in challenges set by Alex Horne will be Big Zuu, Jill Scott, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Sam Ryder and Susie Dent.

It will not be Davies’ only appearance on Channel 4 this festive season, as he also dons a beard and Santa suit to star in the festive family comedy Finding Father Christmas, which airs at 7:30pm on December 24.

The special stars Lenny Rush as a 16-year-old boy named Chris, who remains a staunch believer in Father Christmas despite what his dad (James Buckley) tells him, so foes on a ‘madcap mission’ to prove Santa’s existence.

It’s followed by a festive edition of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with Jon Richardson and Daisy May Cooper taking on Rob Beckett and Judi Love with Katie Norris in Dictionary Corner, and The Last Leg with guests Harry Hill, Alison Hammond and Rick Astley.

It has also been confirmed that the Peep Show reunion on The Great Celebrity Bake Off will air at 7.40pm on Christmas Day.

And at 9pm on Boxing Day Jimmy Carr will host The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, with Jonathan Ross, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Ryan, Nick Mohammed, Roisin Conaty and Lou Sanders answering questions on the events of the past 12 months.
