Watch US comic William Montgomery have an on-stage meltdown
Kill Bill regular booed off at Texas gig
Kill Tony regular William Montgomery has been booed off stage after making a series of dated bad-taste jokes.
The comic – who holds the record for the most one-minute performances on the podcast show – cut his planned 30-minute set in half when opening for Morgan Jay at the Still Standing Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.
Footage posted online shows the crowd roaring their disapproval as he makes jokes about Aaliyah’s fatal 2001 plane crash and the death of The Fast and The Furious star Paul Walker in a car crash in 2013.
The line: ‘Paul Walker? More like Paul Crasher!’ failed to win over the crowd and he screamed at them: That was bullshit! That was a good joke.’
It’s not clear from the videos if he was deliberately trying to provoke the audience with weak material.
He also said that: ‘This is a weird rumour, but I heard the Aaliyah plane crash happened because the pilot tried to ghost ride the whip.’
When the crowd turned on him, Montgomery hit back, asking about the heritage of a ‘dark-skinned looking guy' and callied a woman a ‘nasty looking slut’ and saying: ‘Somebody kill this woman.'
Stay classy, William!
