2025 winners annoucned

Nish Kumar, Ed Gamble and Elis James and John Robins have all truimphed at tonight British Podcast Awards.

James and Robins won best comedy podcast ahead of fellow nominees Where There's A Will, There's A Wake, as hosted by Mel Giedroyc; Sound Heap with John-Luke Roberts; Radio 4’s The Skewer; This Paranormal Life with Rory Powers and Kit Grier Mulvenna and Help I Sexted My Boss with William Hanson and Jordan North

Gamble’s TV spin-off podcast The Traitors: Uncloaked  celebrated a double victory with the  best entertainment podcast award and the Spotlight Award. The show will return with the launch of Celebrity Traitors next week.

Pod Save the UK with Nish Kumar and Coco Khan took home the Podcast Champion award, recognising its mix of politics and comedy.

The industry’s top prize, podcast of the year, was awarded to Kill List, which also secured best true crime podcast. 

The hard-hitting investigation into contract killers made national headlines on release and was praised by the judges for its forensic reporting and gripping storytelling.

Elsewhere, Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett were crowned best hosts for their irresistible interview series Dish,

Miss Me? with Miquita Oliver and Lily Allen was crowned the first-ever winner of the video innovation award, just as Allen announced that she will be taking a break from the podcast.

Betwixt The Sheets: The History of Sex, Scandal & Society claimed the listeners’ choice award,

The ceremony at Indigo at The O2 in Greenwich, South London ,, was hosted by Maisie Adam.
