Miranda's co-star says: 'Im ready for the glitz'

Miranda star Sarah Hadland has been named as the latest contestant taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress played the title character’s co-worker and friend  Stevie Sutton in the BBC from 2009 to 2015, as well as playing Trish in ITV1 sitcom  The Job Lot from 2013 to 2015. More recently she has starred in the UKTV Murder They Hope comedy thrillers as   Monica, the wannabe influencer sister of  Sian Gibson’s Gemma

She said of her casting in Strictly: ‘I cannot believe I am part of Strictly! I feel particularly excited to be part of such an iconic show in its 20th year. I’m so ready for the glitz, glam and glitter and hopefully I can make everyone watching at home proud.’

It was previously announced that stand-up Chris McCasuland would be the show’s first blind contestant, while the line-up also includes singer Toyah Wilcox, former TOWIE star Pete Wicks and ex- Love Islander Tasha Ghouri. More names are yet to be announced.
