New podcasts for Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe

Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe are both launching new podcasts.

In Beginning, Middle And End Gilligan, pictured, will interview stars stars about the moments that made them who they are and the legacies they want to leave.

And in Then And Now, Aleshe teams up with his wife Leonie, an entrepreneur and parenting influencer, for what’s described as a ‘laughter-filled cross-cultural journey through the timeless landscape of childhood and parenthood’.

The podcasts will be distributed though media giant Global under a new deal with Lucky 17, the production arm of UTC Group, which also acts as Gilligan and Aleshe’s agents.

The agreement gives Global first refusal on any projects developed by Lucky 17, and also brings the existing podcast Ain’t Got A Clue, fronted by broadcaster Marcus Bronzy and comedian Kae Kurd, under the Global umbrella.

Chris Lander, head of comedy and entertainment podcasts at Global, said: ‘We are delighted to partner with Lucky 17, who have an exceptional track record of discovering, platforming and creating with diverse talent.

‘This is part of our vision at Global to work with talent and producers to tell the stories they want to tell, full of authenticity and from the heart.’

Thanks for reading. If you find Chortle’s coverage of the comedy scene useful or interesting, please consider supporting us with a monthly or one-off ko-fi donation.
Any money you contribute will directly fund more reviews, interviews and features – the sort of in-depth coverage that is increasingly difficult to fund from ever-squeezed advertising income, but which we think the UK’s vibrant comedy scene deserves.
