Assembly Festival has announced its first shows for the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe.

Comedy shows include the return of  Susie McCabe, with her new show Merchant of Menace,  and Jason Byrne’s No Show, in which he improvises an hour armed with only a bag of props

Jessie Cave also returns to the Fringe with a show that opens up social anxiety and monogamy, couples therapy and parenting failures; while Rob Auton is back with his new piece The Eyes Open and Shut Show.

Aunty Ginger promises ‘a cornucopia of cabaret entertainment with songs, standup, and a seminar in glory hole etiquette’ in Finding Splashman – and while that's definitely an adult show, Comedy Club 4 Kids is also back for those wanting cleaner entertainment.

The news follows previous announcements by Underbelly and promoters MZA, who have shows in Just The Tonic Nucleus.

This year’s Edinburgh Fringe runs from Saturday August 2 to Monday August 26, with previews from Wednesday July 31. The festival’s official box office will offering the first release of tickets for sale from next Thursday.

Assembly’s tickets are on sale now.
