Omid Djalili announces new tour, Namaste

...as Russell Kane expands his Hyperactive dates

Omid Djalili has announced a new tour – in which he vows to yield to his inner anger.

He has 38 dates scheduled for  the show, Namaste, starting in October and running to 2025.

Promoters explain that ‘namaste’ is typically a word associated with peace and tranquillity, but the word - which comes from Sanskrit - literally means ‘bowing to you’.

‘As he watches a world on fire, as climate change, terrorism, financial instability, oceanic pollution, and depletion of natural resources tear ever more at the fabric of our lives, Omid has decided he'll eschew tranquillity, and bow instead to his inner anger,’ the description continues.

The tour promises to unleash ‘a torrent of comedic vitriol upon the current state of this dangerously messed up planet’.

Last year, Djalili starred in the n Christian musical film Journey To Bethlehem as one of the Wise Men and as Bridget Christie’s husband in Channel 4’s The Change.
