Off Menu makes podcast top 3

Success for Ed Gamble and James Acaster's show

Ed Gamble and James Acaster's Off Menu is the third most popular podcast in the UK, a new chart reveals.

It is closely followed by Chris and Rosie Ramsey's Sh**ged Married Annoyed, and - a few places lower - No Such Thing As A Fish, by the QI elves.

But the number one slot goes to US comedian Joe Rogan- a rare foreign show, as British shows make up most of the chart.

However, the BBC has just one entry in the top ten - fewer than Peter Crouch, who has two.

The list was compiled by US firm Edison Research and reported by The Observer. The company's researchers interview podcast consumers to get listening figures, not just downloads.

Newscast is the Corporation's top-rated podcast with The Infinite Monkey Cage, the comedy science show with Brian Cox and Robin Ince, and Danny Robins’ spooky Uncanny also in the top 25
