NextUp announces its 2023 Fringe line-up

More than 40 comedy shows to be streamed from Edinburgh

Comedy streaming service NextUp has announced the line-up of more than 40 shows it will be broadcasting live from the Edinburgh Fringe next month.

Stand-ups whose performances will be carried live on the platform will include  Nick Helm, Shaparak Khorsandi, Mark Watson (pictured) and Hal Cruttenden.

Other highlights including Chortle’s Fast Fringe, Late N Live and the So You Think You’re Funny awards final. NextUp will also be streaming the London edition of Chortle’s Fast Fringe from the Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday.

Last year, NextUp’s Fringe coverage attracted 160,000 unique site visits, amounting to a total of  1.4million minutes of comedy  watched.

NextUp’s head of comedy Tom Brandy said:  ‘We’ve confirmed an insane line-up. The cost of living crisis means that it’s increasingly difficult for many to afford a trip to Edinburgh for the festival, particularly with the ever-rising costs of trains, accommodation etc.  The nature of a lot of the venues also means that accessibility is an issue for many.   ‘

The full list of shows is: John Robertson, Late N Live, Mark Watson, Nick Helm, Milo Edwards, Ian Smith, Avital Ash, Chortle Fast Fringe, Flat & the Curves, Siblings, Lorna Rose Treen, Matty Hutson, Annabel Marlow, Darran Griffiths, Mamoun Elgalab, Tamsyn Kelly, Late N Live, Paddy Young, Shaparak Khorsandi, Jazz Emu, Showstopper, Newsrevue, So You Think You’re Funny final, All Killa No Filla, Sikisa, Sam Lake, Stuart McPherson, Liam Withnail, Paul F Taylor, Hal Cruttenden, Ikechukwu Ufomadu, Alexandra Haddow, Tadiwa Mahlunge, Bronwyn Sweeney, Lulu Popplewell, Mary O’Connell, Chloe Radcliffe, Tom Crosbie amd Michelle Brasier.
