A first for the Philomena Cunk star

Diane Morgan is to guest host Have I Got News For You for the first time.

The comedian and actress has appeared on the programme twice before as a panellist.

She said: ‘It’s a real honour to be presenting Have I Got News For You. But I learned everything about the news from Philomena Cunk, so I hope someone tells me when someone gets the right answer’

Joining her on the May 12 episode will be comedian Desiree Burch and columnist and Times Radio presenter Matt Chorley, both making their second appearance on the show.

Have I Got News For You airs at 9pm on Fridays, with this week’s episode featuring Richard Ayoade as guest host with broadcaster Stacey Dooley and comedian Phil Wang joining team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.
