(Hope it goes better than Bake-Off)

Lucy Beaumont is to make her debut on Have I Got News For You this month.

The comedian will be on the episode airing on April 21, to be hosted by David Tennant for the eighth time, and with Richard Osman on the opposing team.

It comes as she prepares to embark on her first tour this autumn with her stand-up show The Trouble And Strife, about married life with fellow comic Jon Richardson. Their mockumentary, Meet The Richardsons, returns to Dave tomorrow night.

Beaumont also appeared on Celebrity Bake-Off at the weekend… although it did not go terribly well…

Have I Got News For You returns for its 65th series on April 14, with Charlie Brooker hosting and Miles Jupp making his 15th appearance.

• Daisy May Cooper, David Harewood, Rylan Clark, Greg James, and Katherine Ryan will be the guests on Late Night Lycett from 10pm this Friday, producers have announced today.
