Meet the Chortle Student Comedy Award wildcards

...and People's Choice winner Casey Patmore

Casey Patmore has won the People’s Choice place in this year’s Chortle Student Comedy Award.

The 26-year-old, originally from Waterford in Ireland, is studying zoology at the University of Edinburgh, and competed in the heat in that city.

He joins the other heat winners and the wildcards – also announced below – at the semi-finals at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London on April 27 (tickets) and  May 9 (tickets)

The wildcards are:

From the St Andrew's heat: Zak Thompson

From Edinburgh heat: Dean T Beirne and Mia Clock

From Durham heat: Ivo Pope and Kayvan Khazahee

From Warwick heat: Tristan Nowell, Charlotte Elvins

From Bristol heat: Michael McKenzie

From London heats: Daniel Lambert, Scott Fishenden, Will Davis, Ollie Fox and Evie Ro

From Dublin heat: Andrew Kingston

The heat winners were Katie Carrig in Dublin, Jin Hao Li (St Andrews); Daniel Petrie (Edinburgh), Alex Knipe (Durham), Kent Cameron (York), Emerson Young (Salford), Riki (Bristol), Joshua Atkins (Warwick), Ben Pollard, Hannah Yarwood and Muhsin Yesilada (all London)
