Playing a media boss in Apple TV+ show

Stephen Fry has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.

Deadline reports that the former QI host will play Leonard Cromwell, a ruthless board member of media giant UBA, trying to steer the company through troubled financial waters.

Last month it was reported that comedian Tig Notaro was also joining  the cast as Amanda Robinson, the chief of staff to corporate chief Paul Marks (played by Jon Hamm).

The series looks at the goings-on in a media conglomerate via the staff of its morning programme, hosted by Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese  Witherspoon)
