Production starts on Ghosts series 4

Cast returning to Button House

Production has started on the fourth series of Ghosts.

Co-creator Jim Howick, who plays scoutmaster Pat Butcher on the show, confirmed in a tweet. that the cast have reunited to start rehearsals.

Co-star Laurence Rickard, who plays caveman Robin, also tweeted a picture from West Horsley Place, which stands in for the fictional Button Hall

The other co-creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, and Ben Willbond return as the spirits haunting the country pile along with Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe as owners Alison and Mike.

Series four is expected to air in the summer or autumn and will comprise six episodes. The third series launched in summer last year with 4.3million viewers watching the first episode.

Jon Petrie, director of comedy at the BBC has said: ‘Ghosts is a true jewel in BBC comedy’s crown, and we’re delighted to be working again with the cast and creators.’
