Apocalypse Wow heads to ITV2 this summer

Comedians Kemah Bob and Darren Harriott are taking part in a new ITV2 physical game show called Apocalypse Wow.

The broadcaster describes the show as ‘The Chase meets Gladiators via Mad Max and Burning Man’.

AJ Odudu will present it alongside Donna Preston, pictured, who takes the role of ‘The Mistress’ who has an army of extraordinary ‘bosses’ who will try to defeat the five celebrities who enter her Torture Dome each week.

They include Master Enormo, one of the world’s strongest men, The Horn Hunter, a back-flipping parkour master, Hot Slippy Jesus, the UK’s No1 gravy wrestler, The Mermaid  and more.

Scarlett Moffatt will lead the celebrities, who also include drag queen The Vivienne, Pussycat Dolls’ Kimberly Wyatt and a roster of reality TV faces.

Odudu said of the show: ‘It’s bonkers, but brilliant. It’s full of humour, challenges and all our favourite celebrities… it’s quite a ride.’

Moffatt added: ‘It’s hard to put into words how bizarre and crazy Apocalypse Wow is! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen on TV before, so I’m super excited for everyone to see it.’

Made by Lego Masters and Killer Camp producers Tuesday’s Child, Apocalypse Wow will air on ITV2 and ITV Hub this summer.
