As series 16 is put on hold

BBC Two is to repackage some old Live At The Apollo  routines for a new compilation series.

In the absence of new programmes, the broadcaster will be serving up six episodes, each revolving around a different theme.

It will kick off on August 20 with a programme about relationships, featuring Angela Barnes, John Bishop, Ed Byrne, Gary Delaney, Laura Lexx, Sarah Millican, Tom Stade, Ellie Taylor and Phil Wang.

As Chortle reported last month, the planed 16th series of the stand-up showcase format has been put on hold  until 2021 because the coronavirus pandemic made it impossible to film at its usual home, the Hammersmith Apollo in West London.
