George Carlin to appear in new Bill & Ted movie

Quite some feat 12 years after he died!

George Carlin is to make an appearance in the new Bill & Ted movie – 12 years after his death.

The comedian played the time-travel guru Rufus, offering sage advice to Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter's characters in both the original Excellent Adventure from 1989 and their Bogus Journey two years later.

News of his appearance leaked at the Comic-Con at Home event over the weekend, when Kevin Smith, who was moderating a session about the news movie, let the cat out of the bag.

'Seeing George pop up for a moment was, like, everything,' Smith said.

No further details were given, including whether Carlin - who died in 2008 aged 71 - will be added digitally or by using unseen footage from the previous films.

Bill & Ted Face The Music will be released via video-on-demand platforms on September 1.

Meanwhile, Carlin's American Dream routine from his HBO special, Life Is Worth Losing is being used to target Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

In it, he argues how politicians, big business and the media stack the system against ordinary folk, saying: 'They don't want well-informed well educated people capable of critical thinking.'

The material is set to footage of Donald Trump (including some of him with paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein) and other US politicians, Fox News reports, and protests including the toppling of the Bristol statue of slaver Edward Colson.

However, many of Carlin's fans have said the comic was against all major political organisations, not just the Republicans.
