Andrew Maxwell voted off I'm A Celebrity..

'It was hardcore – and an amazing experience'

Andrew Maxwell tonight became the second campmate to leave I’m A Celebrity this year.

He lost a public vote to Kate Garraway as to who was going to be sent home.

The comic told presenters Ant and Dec he had ‘sublime moments’ on the show – but that it was hard to combat the boredom.

‘It's been an absolute pleasure. It was hardcore and an amazing experience,’ he said.

‘You learn patience, you can't speed it up, there is nothing you can do, the hours are going to be there.’

And he said he kept his spirits up with ‘relentless banter’.

There had been claims he had been bullied by Ian Wright and James Haskell, but he bore no ill-will and was full of praise for his campmates.

Maxwell will return to the UK with a greater profile having been on the ITV reality show, and has already announced his 2020 tour dates.

The remaining campmates are Caitlyn Jenner, Ian Wright, Andy Whyment, Cliff Parisi, Kate Garraway, Nadine Coyle, James Haskell, Roman Kemp, Myles Stephenson and Jacqueline Jossa.
