One-off for Channel 4

Richard Osman is to host a light-hearted look back at the past ten years for a Channel 4 special.

World Cup Of The Decade is a one-off 90-minute show to air around new year in which the Pointless co-host and his guest will celebrate the very best across the categories of: film, TV show, song, celebrity and ‘new thing’.

In the lead-up to the show, Osman will host a World Cup style tournament on Twitter giving the public the opportunity to have their say on each of the five categories with the winners being revealed on air.  

The show has today been announced as part of Channel 4’s Christmas highlights, which also include festive or New Year specials of: 

• 8 Out Of 10 Cats on E4, with team captains Rob Beckett and Sara Pascoe and guests Emily Atack, Ola The Comedian, Natasia Demetriou and Jamie Laing
• Rob Beckett’s Savage Socials
•  The Last Leg of the Year with Johnny Vegas and The Horne Section

Plus the return of The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year and The Big Fat Quiz Of The Decade,  both hosted by Jimmy Carr, although the panellists have not yet been revealed.
