The week's new comedy on demand…

Between Two Ferns: The Movie

If the idea of a movie spin-off from Zach Galifianakis's low-budget internet talk show feels like a stretch, it's a shortcoming the makers are well aware off – and work with.

In the feature-length outing newly released on Netflix, the comedian and his oddball crew take a road trip to complete ten high-profile celebrity interviews to restore his reputation after almost killing Matthew McConaughey on screen.

The movie, made by Will Ferrell's Funny Or Die, features a host of cameos including Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Keanu Reeves, David Letterman, Chance the Rapper and many more. Here's a trailer:

Fully Blown

Newcomers Donna Preston and Verona Rose star in this new three-part BBC Three mini-series about two best friends from Southampton who try to rise above their boring, sometimes painful lives by creating superstar rap personas - Starz and Gap C – for their social media.

The stars created the show with writer Sarah Morgan, and it also features rapper Ghetts and comic Kemah Bob.

Here's episode one.

Defending The Guilty

After launching on BBC Two this week, the entire first series of this legal comedy, starring Katherine Parkinson as a jaded lawyer and Will Sharpe as her idealistic pupil, has landed on iPlayer.

Disenchantment

It's received mixed reviews, but Matt Groening's newest animated comedy – a sort of medieval Futurama – has returned to Netflix chart the adventures of Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson) and dodgy demon Luci (Eric André). Sharon Horgan also features as Bean's mother, Queen Dagmar.
