It's over! Divorce to end after third series

Sharon Horgan's US series bows out

Divorce – the US series created by Sharon Horgan and starring Sarah Jessica Parker – is to end.

Broadcaster HBO has announced that the third series that has just started in the States and launches on Sky Atlantic on Monday, will be the last.

The show was about the breakup between Parker’s character Frances and Robert, played by Thomas Haden Church.

Parker told the US trade press that she is ‘satisfied and pleased’ by the final six-episode season, which gives a ‘genuine fresh start’ to the couple.

Every episode of this final series was also directed by a woman,  a milestone for an HBO series,
