Chris Ramsey to tape stand-up special

Show set for broadcast

Chris Ramsey is to record a new stand-up special for broadcast.

He will be taping the show in front of a hometown crowd  at the Newcastle Tyne Theatre on Thursday June 27. Two shows will be recorded, at 6pm and 9pm

No broadcaster has yet been announced for the special, but his previous show, The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour, aired earlier this year over on Comedy Central.

Ramsey said: ‘I’m absolutely over the moon to be filming a brand new stand up special for 2019.

‘I’m thrilled to be recording in front of my hometown crowd too, and very much look forward to seeing the smattering of angry faces that always appear in the audience when I slightly tweak my accent so that the rest of the world can understand me.’

Ramsey, who has more than 400,000 followers on Twitter, recently launched a podcast with his wife Rosie entitled Shagged. Married. Annoyed which has  just hit 1,000,000 downloads.’

Tickets for the recordings are available here, priced £22.50.
