So Awkward wins Children's Bafta

CBBC show named best comedy

CBBC sitcom So Awkward has been named best comedy in this year’s Children’s Baftas.

The show, which has just finished its fourth series, is about three  teenage girls trying to fit in at school and cope with boys and parental dramas.

It previously won the Broadcast Award for best children’s programme in 2016.

In other categories, Paddington 2 won the feature film award; Tom Courtenay won the performer award for playing the title character in BBC One adaptation of Grandpa’s Great Escape, and Justin Fletcher won best presenter for CBeebies’ Something Special.
