Jessie Cave's stand-up show to be published as a book

Sunrise comes with new doodles

Jessie Cave’s last stand-up show, Sunrise, is to be released as a book.

The comedian, who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, won a raft of four- and five-star reviews for the show when she debuted it at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

It revolved around her retuning to dating following the break-up from fellow comic Alfie Brown, the father of her children, and won praise for its emotional rawness and complexity.

The book version of the show, to be published by Nick Hern Books, also includes dozens of new full-colour doodles by Cave, who, thanks to Instagram, has become known for her low-fi artwork almost as much as her comedy.

It is to be released on November 22 as a £9.99 paperback, midway through Cave’s three-week run of the show in London’s Soho Theatre which kicks off on November 12.

A limited number of the Sunrise books ordered directly from the publishers come with a set of  postcards, featuring Jessie Cave's doodles from the book. These are only available while stocks last, exclusively from

Cave previously published a  book of doodles, Love Sick, through Penguin Random House in 2015.
