Drunk Women Solving Crime
Comedians and writers Catie Wilkins, Hannah George and Taylor Glenn created this podcast which does what it says in the title, in the 40 per cent proof spirit of Drunk History or Shit-faced Shakespeare.
Each week the team plus a guest explore a crime the guest has experienced, unravel an historical crime in a quiz style round and solve a crime a listener has submitted – all after consuming enough alcohol to take the edge off.
The first three episodes dropped at once this week, featuring Katherine Ryan, Claire Strugess and London Hughes, and producer Amanda Redman says: 'We wanted to add a fun twist to the true crime craze, and tapping into the wealth of female talent in the UK plus adding some generously- poured cocktails brings a fresh take to the genre.'
The personal crime stories range from the time Ryan was catfished by an 'inflatophiliac' while working at Hooters; when Hannah Warman fell asleep in an Uber and was driven around London unconscious and made to pay £70 for the privilege; or when indie singer Nerina Pallot's childhood home was stormed by armed police to arrest a lodger suspected of drug trafficking.

The Breakdown with Jamali Maddix
There's no great angle for this new podcast, another comedian chatting to fellow creative types… but Maddix is always an interesting presence, as proven in his stand-up sets or via Viceland's Hate Thy Neighbour.
The series kicks off with him talking to the cast of People Just Do Nothing, while future guests include tattoo artist Grace Neutral, hip-hop artist Scroobious Pip, comic Iain Stirling and broadcaster Reggie Yates.
Released to coincide with his new Vape Lord tour, the podcast is available here.
