Run is the latest show from Fleabag's creator

HBO has snapped up the new romantic comedy thriller from Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The show, Run, was originally announced in February but with no broadcaster attached. Now it has been reported that the premium cable service has ordered a pilot,

Co-created by Waller-Bridge’s regular collaborator Vicky Jones, it is about ex-lovers who made a pact 15 years ago that if they ever needed to escape life, they could send each other a simple text message – ‘RUN’ – and impulsively disappear together.

The stars have not been named, but Waller-Bridge will have a recurring role as a character called Flick.

She is also working on a second series of  Fleabag, while her thriller Killing Eve, will air on BBC One later in the year. A second series of that show has also been commissioned.
