Unusual Punishment recorded in London

Jim Jefferies has recorded his new stand-up special for Netflix.

His Unusual Punishment tour was taped at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London, tonight.

The Australian comic’s previous shows, Freedumb from 2016 and Bare from 2014 are already available via the on-demand service. His gun control from the latter show went viral, adding to his fame.

During his new show – his eighth special in his career – Jefferies spoke about Donald Trump’s ‘grab them by the pussy’ comment, about being a single dad, and an usual private booking by Mariah Carey during the show.

He performed in front of a backdrop portraying Big Ben, gas street lights, a black cab and a red phone box, playing to American stereotype of the capital.

The Australian-born comic spent ten years in the UK working the circuit before moving to Los Angles, where he made his TV series Legit, which ran from 2013 to 2014. His late-night Jim Jeffries Show has just been renewed for a second series by Comedy Central.

No release date has yet been announced for Unusual Punishment on Netflix.
