Tell Me Something I Don’t Know for BBC One

Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll is piloting a new game show for BBC One.

The corporation and producers Hungry Bear Media have put out a call for contestants to take part in the show, which is provisionally titled Tell Me Something I Don’t Know.

O’Carroll will host the pilot next month, but it will not be broadcast.

Producers say the show ‘will involve lots of hilarious games, interesting facts and the occasional fib’ with contestants drawn from the studio audience.

O’Carroll is also working on the Christmas episodes of Mrs Brown’s Boys for BBC One.

According to the Irish Sun today, he is planning to write out actor Rory Cowan, who quit earlier this year, by saying his character, Agnes Brown’s gay son Rory has undergone plastic surgery.

The camp character will first be seen in bandages, then the face of Cowan’s replacement will be revealed.

O’Carroll’s alter-ego will also return in a  second series of six episodes of All Round To Mrs Brown’s next year.
