A tight 5: August 14

TINA FEY is developing a new sitcom with her with 30 Rock producer Robert Carlock. The premise of the pilot for America's NBC network is that a woman's job on a cable news network gets more difficult when her meddling mother starts working there too. It was devised by former 30 Rock writer Tracey Wigfield, loosely based on her own life.

STEVE COOGAN has been announced as a surprise guest at next month’s Festival No.6 in Portmeirion, North Wales. The Alan Partridge creator will be speaking about hi life and career at the multi-arts festival, which takes place between September 4 and 6.

COMEDIAN Zach Galifianakis is to voice The Joker in the next Lego Movie, themed around Batman. The Hangover star will appear opposite Will Arnett, who is reprising his role as the Caped Crusader from the 2014 Lego blockbuster.

CHANNEL 4's new talking heads comedy show Very British Problems, based on the Twitter feed of the same name, attracted a healthy 2million viewers last night. Jonathan Ross, James Corden and Grace Dent were among those sharing their social awkwardness.

JIMMY FALLON is to host The Tonight Show on US TV until 2021, after signing a deal for six more years with the NBC network.
