James Corden won't be giving up A League of Their Own when he takes up his new job as a US talk-show host. The comedian was recently announced as the replacement for Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, but a spokesman for Sky said: 'James is already committed to the next three series of A League Of Their Own and he's looking forward to his ongoing participation in the programme.'

THE BBC is launching a new hunt for comedy writers in Northern Ireland. Craic Off, which opens for entries on Monday, is looking for scripts of 15 to 30 minutes plus a one-page outline of how the idea could be developed into a series – although they stress they are not looking for sketch shows. COMEDIAN Brendan Riley is launching a new club in Liverpool this weekend. The stand-up, who also runs the Southport Comedy Festival, will be running The Liverpool Comedy Cellar at the Magnet Club in the New Hope Quarter every Saturday night.
