America's FX network orders a pilot

Louis CK and Zach Galifianakis are to unite for a new US television comedy.

The FX Network has ordered a pilot of the untitled show, which The Hangover star Galifianakis created and will star in.

And CK will co-write the script, while the show will be co-produced by his company Pig Newton – named after one of his stand-up routines – and FX Productions.

There is no word yet on the concept of the new show.

It will be the 12th greenlighted comedy pilot for FX Productions and comes as part of a previously announced partnership with Pig Newton. ‘I can’t wait to see who he [CK] brings through our door,’ FX Networks chief John Landgraf said at the time.

The announcement of the Galifianakis project came at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
